About The Stone Centre
Centrally located in Kitchener / Waterloo, Ontario, our main work focus is cemetery monuments and markers. We also make and supply stone benches, granite signs, bronze plaques and memorials, cemetery lettering, ceramic memorial pictures, eternal lights, flower vases and other related items or services.
All design work, lettering, sandblasting, carving, laser etching, and restoration work is done in house in our own manufacturing facility in Kitchener-Waterloo by people with many years of practical hands-on experience.
With three custom built delivery trucks, a 5 ton Hiab crane, two forklifts, a Bobcat 300, two remote controlled motorized ProMover handcarts, and the very best in hand tools and lifting equipment, we are well equipped for delivery and installation work.
We are often asked why we have so many company names. Whenever we were offered the chance to purchase another company, it was usually because the owners wished to retire.
In nearly every case, the original owners had a strong respect for our work ethics over the years and felt that their company would continue on successfully in our care. We have kept the original company names, locations and traditional values intact as a mark of respect for the original owners, their employees and the local clientele.
We have over 6,000 items in stock at all times. It is rare to find a monument company with such a large inventory. Most of the inventory is kept at the manufacturing facility in Kitchener for practical reasons, but we also have a large number of monuments on display in our showrooms and outdoor displays in other locations.
A large inventory allows you to actually see the granites and the many styles of monuments that we make, and it makes delivery a lot more efficient.
Experience matters. We have 16 people, including the company owner, our sales people and our head office staff, who are Certified Master Memorialists — more than any other company in Ontario.
Everyone, including the company owner, sales people, office staff, shop staff and delivery people, has worked in the monument industry for time frames that vary between 10 and 46 years.
We believe that it is essential to treat people with the same understanding, care and friendliness that we would expect if we were in a similar situation. Each family has unique personal preferences and we take great care to respect this.
